Current IT challenges:
The College realised that the workload on the IT Director was increasing and as a result was affecting his academic responsibilities.
BEC solution:
By working closely with the schools IT Director and Systems Administrator we gained a comprehensive understanding of the needs and aspirations of the College. We identified that the client required a new server and to simplify the IT purchasing structure to enable a 'future proof' and reliable service to become available to all pupils, staff and college trustees.
To provide additional support we placed a Senior Network Technician on site for two days a week to facilitate the introduction of a comprehensive support service for the entire site and alleviate the responsibility of the IT Administrator and their technical staff.
Through regular IT forum meetings involving all senior staff, the College has been given the ability to develop and plan a cost effective IT strategy using the latest technology and maximising it throughout the College.
